Marine & General (MG) Engineering is a privately owned South Australian Engineering company that was founded in 1995, celebrating more than 28 years as one of Australia's leading Marine Engineering Companies. Our facility occupies 11,000m2 of prime river frontage on the Port River in Port Adelaide with a 400-tonne slipway. Our 3200m2 undercover workshop facility is conveniently located close to the Osborne Naval Shipyard precinct and Common User Facility. Our slipway is accessible for modular sections including ship structures. MG Engineering specialises in small to medium size projects with a proven track record in the fabrication and delivery of complex modular constructions primarily for defence but also other industries such as energy, resources and mining. MG's highly trained staff are qualified in complex welding and fabrication in a variety of materials including mild steel, aluminium, stainless steel and more exotic alloys.
