The Saipem Clough Joint Venture, comprising Saipem S.p.A and Clough Projects AustraliaPtyLtd, has been selected as the EPC contractor for the development of Perdaman Industries' urea plant on the Burrup Peninsula approximately eight kilometres from Dampier and twenty kilometres northwest of Karratha on the north-west coastline of Western Australia (the Project).
The facility will consist of the urea fertiliser plant and related facilities with a capacity of 2 million tonnes of urea per annum. The facility includes a water treatment plant, a power plant (100MW), as well as urea storage, loading and unloading facilities. A closed conveyer will transport the urea 7 kilometres directly to the Pilbara Ports Authority for shipping to local and offshore markets, with 50 to 100 shiploads expected per year.
The Joint Venture's scope of work includes engineering, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning of the ammonia and urea plant including EPC for all site civils, process plant, utilities, urea handling, storage and loadout, storage facilities and site buildings.
The Saipem Clough Joint Venture wish to engage early with businesses to maximise local and Indigenous participation. We are inviting expressions of interest from all businesses interested in participating in the Project.
