About the project

Barossa is an offshore gas and light condensate project being progressed by the Barossa Joint Venture comprising ConocoPhillips Australia Barossa Pty Ltd as Operator (ConocoPhillips Australia), Santos Offshore Pty Ltd and SK E&S Australia Pty Ltd.

As part of the Barossa Offshore Project, ConocoPhillips Australia Barossa Pty Ltd selected TSC as one of the contractors to perform FEED for the provision of an EPCI option for the Floating Production, Storage and Offloading Facility (FPSO).

The FPSO consists of topsides process and utility modules, accommodation, hull, offloading system, turret and mooring system.

The Barossa FPSO is a permanently moored, weathervaning facility with connections to subsea wells and an export pipeline that will tie-in to the existing Bayu-Undan to DLNG gas export pipeline. The condensate is stabilised for storage in the FPSO hull and for offloading as required. Water treated on the FPSO will be discharged overboard.

It is important to note that due to the nature of the FEED Competition contract, Expressions of Interest (“EoI”) submitted by Suppliers to TechnipFMC during the FPSO FEED Phase may not progress beyond FEED.

Pressure vessels such as knock out drums, separators, expansion vessels, storage vessels, columns, scrubbers in process and utility service, suitable for operation on FPSO facility. Constructed in accordance with ASME Section VIII Div. 1 or 2. Material of construction such as carbon steel, stainless steel or carbon steel clad with alloy 825 or duplex stainless steel or SS316L depending on the service. Depending on the service, some pressure vessels will be required to comply to NACE MR0175. 100% Radiography will be required.
