CON-20/042 - MARINE AND COASTAL MANAGEMENT PLAN

The CMMP is both an important long-term planning document that will assist the implementation of State and local strategies, and an action plan intended to support improvements to, and practical management of the foreshore area. The CMMP should also aim to increase the community understanding and awareness of the range of complex coastal planning and management issues in this complex and dynamic environment.
The Coastal and Marine Management Plan is a high-profile document with broad stakeholders. Development of the document will need to include consultation with the community, Council officers and other regulatory agencies. The CMMP is to be developed in alignment with the Marine and Coastal Act 2018 and the relevant supporting policies, strategies and guidelines as highlighted within this brief.
