Capability News

Welcome to the Summer 2017 edition of Capability News.

We are thrilled to bring you news of some huge project rights across the country, including Australia’s most ambitious and largest public transport project throughout greater Sydney.

ICN is working closely with Transport for NSW, as well as the consortiums and joint ventures awarded the contracts, to bring a range of opportunities for local industries as the project is rolled out in stages over the next few years.

In the nation’s capital, ICN help Canberra region businesses win work packages in concreting, electrical, craneage, roofing, steel fabrication, joinery, furniture fittings and equipment including curtains and floorcoverings, painting, landscaping and a range of projects associated with the new ACT Law Courts.

We have also seen a lot of exciting happenings in the mining industry, with three major projects across three states – BHP’s South Flank Iron Ore project in WA, Carapateena Copper Mine in SA and the $300 million proposed Amaroo Phosphate Mine southeast of Tennant Creek in the NT.

Meanwhile, in QLD, it’s all happening in the lead up to next year’s Commonwealth Games, with the announcement of the overlay project to prepare 15 existing sites.

From all of us at Industry Capability Network, we hope you, your family and your friends have a very happy and safe Christmas and we look forward to helping more Australian and New Zealand SMEs in 2018.
