B2B marketplace addresses supply issues

Australian business that urgently need to source a product or service will be given a helping hand via a new online B2B marketplace that makes it easy to find suppliers.

Developed in partnership with Brisbane-based software and creative communications agency IONYX, ICN Connect is designed to connect buyers looking for new supply chains for products and services with business that can meet their needs.

“A lot of supply chains were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and we saw a need for back-up options when normal suppliers cannot meet demand, or where a product or service is unique or proving difficult to locate ,” Executive Director Warren Jansen said.

“While the pandemic was the catalyst, we know there are many other reasons why normal supply might be interrupted”.

“ICN Connect is aimed at businesses that need to urgently source a product or service where their normal supply chains are failing them or where the product or service is unique or proving difficult to locate”.

Buyers can create a listing for free* to put a call out for the product or service they need, and suppliers can then search by industry category and location for buyers looking for their product or service.

“Market needs are changing rapidly. ICN Connect makes it easier to solve supply chain difficulties in this new environment,” Warren said.

ICN Connect gives you more than just a listing. It allows you to define the scope of your requirements with detail and clarity and promote your listing through automatic notifications sent to all registered companies.

Once your listing is live, suppliers and subcontractors can register their interest and you can view the responses in real time.

ICN Connect is integrated with ICN Gateway, so if you are already on ICN Gateway, it will use your business details from your company profile, making it quick and easy to list.

Also, by using the engine room of ICN Gateway you have access to a trusted network of around 80,000 suppliers.
