Transforming Brisbane's CBD

Construction on Brisbane's $3.6 billion Queen's Wharf development is well under way and ICN QLD has been working with Multiplex, which has been awarded the contract for the Integrated Resort Development (Part A).

Expected to open in late 2022, Queen’s Wharf Brisbane will transform the CBD and river’s edge. Multiplex’s scope will include delivery of the shell and core works covering the basement, basement services, tower structures and façades. It will also include the integrated resort high-rise tower shells ready for later fit-out works, podium levels and iconic Sky Deck.

The Multiplex construction includes:

  • 5 level basement carparks
  • 2 towers for the 17-storey The Grand Star Hotel
  • 1 tower for the 38-storey Dorsett and Rosewood Hotel
  • 1 57-storey residential tower
  • Several podium levels
  • Sky Deck that will sit 100m above the ground connecting the towers
  • Public realm areas.

There are currently a number of work packages open on ICN Gateway for expressions of interest on the first part of the development.

ICN QLD Consultant, Abhi Arora, said more work packages were expected to be rolled out as the project progresses.

“We will provide information on specific supply opportunities on the ICN Gateway page as it becomes available, with local industry able to register its interest against each package,” he said.

Destination Brisbane Consortium, the consortium’s joint venture partners have committed to ensuring local suppliers can take advantage of the $3.6 billion integrated resort development.

According to the project’s website, Queen’s Wharf Brisbane is already providing outstanding economic benefits during its construction phase via local jobs, training, and procurement.

Local industry interested in supplying to the project should register an expression of interest through the ICN Gateway webpage
