The Turret and Mooring Systems package consists of an internal non-disconnectable turret and mooring system and all associated equipment. as detailed below:
Weathervaning system means axial bogies, radial wheels, lower pads and associated items, composing the physical interface between the geostationary and rotating parts. The system enables the FPSO to weathervane around the mooring centre.
Lower Turret Structure:
The lower turret structure is located within the FPSO hull and consists of the structural elements, the riser guide tubes, the mooring chain connection and installation equipment, the flexible risers and umbilicals installation equipment, access diver support systems, materials handling equipments and ventilation arrangements
The Upper Turret and Manifold Decks:
The upper turret is fixed on the lower turret and is a non-rotating element. It contains the manifold decks and fixed part of the fluid transfer system, riser and mooring systems upper attachment locations, electrical and instrument equipment rooms, chemical distribution skid, pigging facilities and associated piping and control systems.
The Gantry Structure:
The gantry structure is located on the FPSO cargo deck and weathervanes with the FPSO. It supports the turret access routes and the rotational part of the fluid transfer, utility services and power/signals systems. It contains the swivel stack driving system, ancillary packages, davit crane and equipment handling facilities.
The Swivel Stack:
The swivel stack is located within the gantry structure. It transfers all process fluids, services, power signals and communication feeds from the fixed to the rotating parts of the FPSO.
The mooring system consists of 21 mooring lines anchored to the sea bed.
