Essential Civil Security Event

Australia’s first conference focusing on the non-defence elements of national and civil security will be held in Melbourne in May 2018.

CIVSEC 2018 will encompass the broad spectrum of civil security, policing, homeland security, border protection, resource and infrastructure protection, emergency management, disaster response and humanitarian assistance.  It offers an integrated international forum and a comprehensive industry showcase for professional and business engagement as well as the promotion of technological capability.

Promoted as the “essential” civil security event, CIVSEC 2018 combines an international industry and technology exhibition, high-level stakeholder strategic summits and a congress of specialist conferences and symposia. It will bring together a range of leaders, decision-makers, policy-makers and advisers, managers and officials, operational professionals, technical specialists, strategists and academics, researchers and consultants, technology developers and industry suppliers.

Being held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 1-3, CIVSEC 2018 is expected to attract a broad range of security, emergency-response and humanitarian-assistance professionals, officials and trade visitors at all levels.

The free event is reserved for those with a professional, civil service, governmental agency, business, academic, scientific, operational or response involvement in the national security, policing, civil security, public protection, border control, emergency services, disaster management, humanitarian relief, community safety, search and rescue and related government or industry sectors.
